About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary quality interface between Raytheon and the external supply base
- Drive continuous product and process improvements by identifying supplier risk and systemic performance issues
- Implement effective Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), including FRACAS investigations and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR)
- Ensure flow down of product and process requirements to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements and Statements of Work (SOW)
- Oversee on-site Source Surveillance, Source Inspection, and First Article Verification
- Communicate technical requirements and nonconformance dispositions between the supply base and Engineering
- Support supplier assessments, audits, and reviews with domestic travel required up to 50%
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)
- 5 years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline
- Proven experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
- Knowledge of Quality Management standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100
- Experience interpreting schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date
Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma, Lean, or ASQ certifications (e.g., CQE, CSQE, CRE)
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, and FAI Standard AS9102
- Proficiency with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Experience in DoD product and process oversight
