Program Supervisor, Supported Living Services

About the Company

The Arc of Greater New Orleans (ArcGNO) is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live meaningful, independent lives. Since 1953, ArcGNO has provided advocacy, education, and support services to individuals and families across the Greater New Orleans area.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and supported living participants
• Establish and maintain operating policies and procedures for the Home Emergency Living Program
• Monitor Lead DSPs and DSPs regularly during center operations
• Complete performance evaluations and staff development
• Maintain and review service documentation including ISPs, progress notes, and reports
• Assist staff with submitting incident reports within 24 hours
• Perform case management duties and develop service plans
• Provide 10 hours of direct service per week to ensure quality
• Coordinate monthly staff meetings and oversee service scheduling
• Remain on-call for emergencies and scheduling needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in human services or related discipline preferred
• DSP training program completion or one year of DSP experience can substitute for a degree
• Minimum of one year of supervisory experience
• Valid LA driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working directly with persons with developmental disabilities
