About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analyze information from internal and external sources to support evidence-based decision-making
  • Prepare briefing materials, reports, jurisdictional scans, and presentations for senior management and executive leadership
  • Support the planning and implementation of public safety programs, including contract coordination and monitoring progress
  • Prepare correspondence and communications materials for stakeholders and the public
  • Collaborate with Finance staff to support budget monitoring, forecasting, and expenditure tracking
  • Manage relationships with justice partners and service providers through working groups and committees
  • Provide guidance and supervision to junior employees and support staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline plus five years of related experience in policy/program planning and development or public safety
  • Strong research, analysis, and synthesis skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for diverse audiences
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage multiple deadlines
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ability to undergo an enhanced background check and potential federal security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with engagement processes and program development/management
  • Experience working within law enforcement environments
  • Knowledge of public safety processes
