About the role
Responsibilities
- Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) in accordance with AS9145 and internal requirements.
- Standardize and implement test defect data entry to facilitate rapid data analysis.
- Analyze test defect data to drive priority focus for containment, Root Cause Analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Develop and monitor major end item test performance metrics to maintain program health and drive continuous improvement.
- Perform process walks and operator observations to drive design enhancements and reduce variation.
- Identify supplier escapes and ensure proper containment and communication with the Supplier Quality Management team.
Requirements
- STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering, manufacturing, or quality systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including assembly, inspection, and testing.
- Proven experience in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Experience developing and using quality metrics for root cause analysis and verification.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing U.S. Secret security clearance or higher.
- Experience with APQP/AS9145 and tools such as PPAP, Key Characteristics, DFMEA, PFMEA, or Control Plans.
- Experience interfacing directly with customers, program management, and government representatives.
- Experience facilitating cross-functional teams in Six-Sigma or Lean Manufacturing activities.
- Proficiency with SAP/PRISM or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools.
