Program Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) in accordance with AS9145 and internal requirements.
• Standardize and implement test defect data entry to facilitate rapid data analysis.
• Analyze test defect data to drive priority focus for containment, Root Cause Analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Develop and monitor major end item test performance metrics to maintain program health and drive continuous improvement.
• Perform process walks and operator observations to drive design enhancements and reduce variation.
• Identify supplier escapes and ensure proper containment and communication with the Supplier Quality Management team.

Requirements

• STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering, manufacturing, or quality systems.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including assembly, inspection, and testing.
• Proven experience in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Experience developing and using quality metrics for root cause analysis and verification.
• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing U.S. Secret security clearance or higher.
• Experience with APQP/AS9145 and tools such as PPAP, Key Characteristics, DFMEA, PFMEA, or Control Plans.
• Experience interfacing directly with customers, program management, and government representatives.
• Experience facilitating cross-functional teams in Six-Sigma or Lean Manufacturing activities.
• Proficiency with SAP/PRISM or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools.
