About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee assigned caseload of older adult programs and community-based services
  • Act as the primary point of contact between programs and the Department
  • Monitor and conduct on-site assessments to ensure compliance with Department standards and contract requirements
  • Provide technical assistance to aging services providers to maximize program goals
  • Analyze program contacts and budgets and collaborate with other NYC Aging Units
  • Assist in the review of contracts, amendments, agreements, and renewals
  • Participate in the evaluation of the Agency's Request for Proposals (RFP)
  • Participate in special projects and new initiatives

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree and three years of professional experience in social services, community relations, public administration, contract management, or social research
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be a current City Employee serving permanently in the title of Program Officer or reachable from the most recent civil service exam list
