About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and operational management for the Compelling Preaching Initiative (CPI).
- Coordinate program activities, partnerships, communications, and budgets to ensure alignment with grant aims.
- Collaborate with the University Chaplain and the Indianapolis Preaching Council to advance strategic goals.
- Contribute theological insight to programming, cohort development, and resource creation.
- Support the development of the Innovative Preaching Lab as a functional, revenue-generating program.
- Represent the Lantz Center in conversations with preachers, denominational leaders, and community stakeholders.
- Assist in gathering data for annual grant reports and conducting program evaluations.
- Occasionally preach in chapel and participate in ecumenical Christian ministry activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Three years of relevant professional experience in program coordination, ministry leadership, theological education, nonprofit administration, or a related field.
- Proven ability to present information and speak effectively before small and large groups.
- Demonstrated ability to engage articulately with Christian worship, preaching, and vocational discernment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in theology, divinity, religion, ministry, higher education, or nonprofit leadership.
- Five years of relevant professional experience.
