Program Manager - Underwriting

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end launch of new insurance programs within the program factory
• Define underwriting guidelines and build rate/form/rule frameworks
• Secure and manage carrier relationships
• Own book performance by tracking loss ratios and key metrics
• Make real-time adjustments to appetite and pricing
• Collaborate with distribution, compliance, and operations teams to bring programs to market
• Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert for specific classes of business

Requirements

• 8-15 years of experience working for a reputable insurance carrier or broker
• Underwriting expertise in a specialty vertical
• Ability to evaluate risk and make sound underwriting judgments in ambiguous situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment
