Program Manager - TRIO Talent Search

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, implementation, and management of the federally funded TRiO Talent Search program.
• Supervise staff, including recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating personnel.
• Manage daily operations and program budget, including monitoring expenditures.
• Develop and implement activities to encourage underrepresented students to overcome barriers to postsecondary education.
• Prepare project reports for submission to the U.S. Department of Education and college administration.
• Collaborate with high school administrators, counselors, parents, and community agencies to ensure program success.
• Recruit prospective students from target middle and high schools.
• Monitor and evaluate program components using student data to meet specific goals and objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Services, or a related field.
• Four (4) years of experience assisting middle and high school students with college preparation or working with youth programs.
• Three (3) years of experience supervising TRIO or related programs serving diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
• In-depth knowledge of TRIO programs and federal/college policies.
• Proven success in grant administration and writing.
• Experience with budget management.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with first-generation, low-income, and students with disabilities.
