Program Manager - TRIO Cobb County

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, implementation, and daily operations of the federally funded TRIO Upward Bound program.
• Supervise, hire, train, and evaluate program staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Manage program budgets, expenditures, and grant administration.
• Develop and monitor program goals and objectives to improve high school retention and college graduation rates.
• Recruit prospective students from target middle and high schools and collaborate with parents to create individualized educational plans.
• Prepare and submit project reports to the U.S. Department of Education and college administration.
• Act as a liaison between the program, high school administrators, community agencies, and student services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of TRIO programs and federal regulations.
• Experience working with first-generation, low-income, and/or students with disabilities.
• Proven success in grant administration, writing, and budget management.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures and understand youthful behavior and culture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in TRIO or similar college access programs.
• Demonstrated experience working with low-income and first-generation students.
• Strong knowledge of TRIO compliance and reporting requirements.
• Experience using student data systems, such as Blumen, and other reporting tools.
