Program Manager, Social Justice Education

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage social justice programming, including monthly themed conversations and campus-wide events like MLK Day and International Women’s Day.
• Supervise and mentor 6-8 student leaders, overseeing their hiring, training, and professional development.
• Oversee the Immersion and PLUNGE programs, including program preparation, risk assessment, safety planning, and post-immersion reflection.
• Manage site partnerships with non-profit organizations, schools, and community partners to support student engagement.
• Coordinate logistics for immersion experiences, including transportation, budget management, and fundraising efforts.
• Utilize digital platforms such as Engage and GivePulse to administer social justice events and maintain department web presence.
• Integrate Catholic Social Teaching and anti-oppression frameworks into all programming and educational materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 2+ years of professional experience in social justice, community engagement, student leadership development, or non-profit management.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience working with students in co-curricular settings.
• Demonstrated competency in cultural competence and working with diverse populations.
• Experience with workshop and group facilitation.
• Experience with risk assessment and analysis.
• Experience supervising interns or volunteers.
