About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee two Permanent Supportive Housing programs, managing a team of Case Managers and Program Specialists.
  • Manage program and staff to achieve all contractual deliverables and service-related expenditures.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and program manuals.
  • Manage public and private contracts, assist with grant applications, and serve as the primary point of contact for funders.
  • Conduct periodic case reviews and regular file reviews to ensure HMIS data is accurate and complete.
  • Monitor program budgets and prepare timely progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead staff development through regular one-on-ones, performance management, and onboarding.
  • Represent the agency in the community and strengthen partner relationships to improve program outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, social sciences, or a closely related field (significant related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • 3+ years of experience working with low-income or homeless individuals and families.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience managing two or more staff members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Experience with HMIS systems and database management.
  • Valid California driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle with current auto insurance.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and provide TB test clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of homeless intervention best practices, such as Housing First, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing.
  • Experience managing program budgets and complex contractual reporting requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
