About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Coordinator in the implementation and management of the Mental Health Service Professional Demonstration Grant Program
  • Ensure grant activities remain aligned with program deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder priorities
  • Coordinate progress monitoring activities and maintain tracking of grant benchmarks, outcomes, and reporting requirements
  • Assist with scheduling, organizing, and documenting meetings with partnering LEAs, consortium members, and stakeholders
  • Support recruitment activities for prospective School Psychology candidates and assist with outreach efforts
  • Help coordinate training sessions, professional development activities, and coaching supports
  • Facilitate communication between LIU faculty, internship supervisors, and district personnel
  • Support data collection and organization for regional and district needs assessments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Experience with data tracking, reporting, and progress monitoring
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Ability to travel to various locations throughout Long Island

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Education, School Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Public Administration
  • Experience supporting grant-funded programs or educational initiatives
  • Knowledge of school-based mental health services and educational systems
  • Spanish speaking skills
