About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and motivate House Managers and Youth Workers to deliver high-quality therapeutic support.
- Drive therapeutic practice that provides stability and ongoing support to children and young people in residential and SILS placements.
- Ensure program compliance with legislation, accreditation standards, contractual obligations, and internal policies.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to balance client needs with business requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including carers, community organisations, and funding bodies.
- Champion client voice and cultural safety by embedding trauma-informed practice and the CARE model.
- Promote a positive team culture through coaching, reflective practice, and professional development.
Requirements
- Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Proven leadership or management experience within the human services sector, preferably in out-of-home care.
- Demonstrated knowledge of trauma, attachment, and the specific needs of children and young people in care.
- Experience managing budgets and delivering outcomes in a high-volume environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Current driver’s licence and access to a fully insured vehicle for travel between sites.
- Ability to pass National Criminal History and Working with Children checks.

- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Demonstrated commitment to cultural safety and diversity.
