Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and motivate House Managers and Youth Workers to deliver high-quality therapeutic support.
• Drive therapeutic practice that provides stability and ongoing support to children and young people in residential and SILS placements.
• Ensure program compliance with legislation, accreditation standards, contractual obligations, and internal policies.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively to balance client needs with business requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including carers, community organisations, and funding bodies.
• Champion client voice and cultural safety by embedding trauma-informed practice and the CARE model.
• Promote a positive team culture through coaching, reflective practice, and professional development.

Requirements

• Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Proven leadership or management experience within the human services sector, preferably in out-of-home care.
• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma, attachment, and the specific needs of children and young people in care.
• Experience managing budgets and delivering outcomes in a high-volume environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Current driver’s licence and access to a fully insured vehicle for travel between sites.
• Ability to pass National Criminal History and Working with Children checks.

• Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Demonstrated commitment to cultural safety and diversity.
