About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee program and human resource management, including staff recruitment, supervision, and training for a 24/7 operation
  • Interpret and administer the Children and Family Service Act
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure effective delivery of youth programming and case management
  • Manage quality through monitoring, assessing, and reviewing incidents and intervention plans
  • Lead the development of various approaches, committees, and initiatives to enhance service delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or an acceptable equivalent)
  • Progressive experience supervising or managing a child and youth caring program
  • Knowledge of human behaviour and trauma-informed care
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support a 24/7 program

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Department of Opportunities and Social Development policies and procedures
  • Familiarity with the Occupational Health & Safety Act
