About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee program and human resource management, including staff recruitment, supervision, and training for a 24/7 operation
- Interpret and administer the Children and Family Service Act
- Collaborate with the team to ensure effective delivery of youth programming and case management
- Manage quality through monitoring, assessing, and reviewing incidents and intervention plans
- Lead the development of various approaches, committees, and initiatives to enhance service delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or an acceptable equivalent)
- Progressive experience supervising or managing a child and youth caring program
- Knowledge of human behaviour and trauma-informed care
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support a 24/7 program
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Department of Opportunities and Social Development policies and procedures
- Familiarity with the Occupational Health & Safety Act
