Program Manager, Cost Accounting

Responsibilities

• Lead complex cost-accounting analysis, including cost modeling, variance analysis, and margin optimization initiatives.
• Develop advanced costing models and conduct scenario analyses to advise on cost-efficient operational strategies.
• Own the integrity and continuous improvement of cost-accounting systems and master data, including standard cost updates.
• Execute key components of the month-end accounting close and ensure high-quality reporting aligned with GAAP.
• Drive automation, reporting enhancements, and analytics modernization within the cost accounting function.
• Strengthen internal controls and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for business partners across Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years of experience in cost accounting or a related accounting field.
• Advanced proficiency in cost-modeling, standard costing, and manufacturing environments.
• Strong command of Excel, ERP cost modules, and various analytics tools.
• Proven ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams such as Operations and Supply Chain.
• Demonstrated experience in automation, data integrity, and system optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CMA certification.
