Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide disability-related trainings on accessibility, inclusion, and best practices to Workforce1 and NYSDOL staff
• Design training materials, lesson plans, and learning modules aligned with adult-learning principles
• Implement physical, programmatic, communication, and digital accessibility plans for Workforce1 Career Centers
• Facilitate training for businesses on the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities
• Coordinate with internal SBS teams and external community partners to ensure program success
• Conduct accessibility reviews of sector-based trainings and provide recommendations to leadership
• Manage outreach and marketing strategies to reach jobseekers with disabilities
• Identify and leverage disability-related resources and partners like ACCES-VR and NYSCB
• Support the development of long-term sustainability plans for the NY SCION initiative

Requirements

• Program Manager Associate: 1-2 years of relevant experience in program management or workforce development supporting people with disabilities
• Program Manager: 3+ years of relevant experience in program management or workforce development supporting people with disabilities
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Work Incentive Practitioner Credential
• Willingness to travel throughout the five boroughs of NYC
• Baccalaureate degree and two years of community work experience, OR high school diploma and six years of community work experience
