About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain Community of Interest (COI) battle rhythm, including recurring technical tasks, schedules, and deliverables.
- Support COI events such as annual Information Exchanges and technical exchange meetings.
- Plan, monitor, and report progress on research programs while developing integrated project schedules.
- Identify dependencies and risks, proposing mitigation strategies to advise technical professionals.
- Monitor ARL technical program progress, Department of War priorities, and capability gaps to inform planning.
- Support response to technical taskers through data collection, compilation, and formalization.
- Streamline internal processes and manage Knowledge Management (KM) tools including SharePoint and MS Teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, Program Management, or a related Systems Engineering field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience (exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered).
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Active Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams, and SharePoint.
- Proven organizational, time management, and technical problem-solving skills.
- Experience coordinating with senior leaders (GO/SES level) across diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience planning and managing applied research programs using machine learning (ML).
- Knowledge of advanced manufacturing, including additive manufacturing.
- Experience with materials manufacturing (metals, ceramics, glasses, polymers, or composites).
- Familiarity with nondestructive inspection techniques and materials characterization.
- Experience writing technical proposals, reports, and program summaries.
