Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and improve SOPs, playbooks, and governance frameworks to ensure scalable execution across the Launch & Expansion team.
• Own and evolve dashboards, reports, and analytical views within the PMIS ecosystem to provide a single source of truth and surface risks early.
• Manage the sourcing, onboarding, and day-to-day coordination of contingent and temporary staff essential to operations.
• Monitor project health across various teams, designing reporting structures that provide actionable signals without unnecessary overhead.
• Collaborate with global PMO peers to exchange best practices and contribute to worldwide excellence initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Fluent in Japanese (speaking, writing, and reading).
• Fluent in English (speaking, writing, and reading).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing and driving adoption of standardized processes or governance frameworks across large organizations.
• Experience coordinating diverse workforce models, including temporary or vendor-managed staff, in fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency in building dashboards or analytical tools using SQL, Excel, QuickSight, Tableau, or Python.
• PMP certification or an MBA in Business, Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain.
• Strong attention to detail with a track record of resolving complex discrepancies.

About the Company

Amazon Japan Operations is responsible for Amazon Japan’s end-to-end logistics and operations, managing a large-scale, highly integrated supply chain. The Launch and Expansion (L&E) team turns supply chain strategy into a real, operating network, owning execution from site selection and investment analysis through to launch planning and go-live readiness.
