About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations for the MA in Climate and Society program
- Support student enrollment, registration, academic milestones, and degree certification processes
- Serve as a primary resource for students, faculty, and university partners on academic policies and procedures
- Coordinate communications, course scheduling, instructional support, and program timelines
- Monitor student progress and support SAP, hiring, budgets, records, and reporting
- Collaborate on orientation, class day, student programming, and special projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of related experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
- Strong customer-service orientation with tact, discretion, and diplomacy
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred
- Experience in higher education or academic administration
- Interest in environmental, climate, or sustainability issues
- Commitment to sustainability and addressing climate change
