Program Management Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers located in Long Beach and other business locations.
• Partner with the Global Connectivity Leader to shape program execution strategy and ensure successful delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Airplane Programs, Business Development, Supply Chain, and external Connectivity Suppliers.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and risk management activities.
• Serve as the primary liaison between senior management and project teams, providing transparent updates on status and risks.
• Facilitate resource planning, workload balancing, and professional development for team members.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for project management processes and team performance.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, formal manager, or large-scale cross-functional program management).
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
• Proven track record of delivering complex aerospace projects.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, JIRA, or Smartsheet.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Ability and willingness to travel globally to support emergent customer needs.
• Ability to work effectively across different cultures and time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent professional certification.
