About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and support in the preparation of educational materials
- Analyze training needs and work on special projects for the Office of School Health
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the asthma case management program using surveys and interviews
- Survey target populations and agency staff to identify health needs and resources
- Represent the agency at meetings with public health service providers and school officials
- Act as a liaison with other agencies and community groups to provide public health education
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree and two years of experience in public health education, program development, or counseling
- OR a Master's degree in public health, education, or administration and one year of relevant experience
- Must be a permanent employee in the title or reachable on the Public Health Educator civil service list
