Program Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for NUWC, US Navy, and contractor personnel regarding testing on AUTEC test ranges
• Evaluate test support requirements and determine optimal methods to satisfy customer needs within existing capabilities
• Manage cost control, monitoring expenditures and coordinating funding status with subject matter experts and finance teams
• Coordinate logistics for assigned programs, including facility preparation, asset modification, shipping, and HAZMAT management
• Schedule contractor assets and personnel to ensure all workload commitments are met
• Generate and maintain operational documents and standing test plans to communicate support requirements
• Update test support documentation to reflect real-time changes in Range User schedules

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in Science, Business, Project Management, or equivalent (Military service in a technical field may be considered in lieu of a degree)
• 5 years of project or program management experience, preferably in Test and Range operations
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and computer literacy in a Windows environment
• Strong written and oral communication skills with excellent organizational abilities
• Valid US Passport and Driver’s License
• Ability to reside in a remote location with limited medical facilities
