About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement overall program strategy, goals, and execution plans
- Establish program-wide processes, procedures, and standards
- Advise senior leadership and stakeholders on program direction, risks, and opportunities
- Lead and mentor a team of design managers, project managers, and project controls professionals
- Oversee all phases of design and construction to ensure alignment with educational needs
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants
- Manage program budgets, forecasts, and funding sources
- Identify and mitigate risks across the program lifecycle
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 20 years of experience in capital project/program management
- At least 10 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience managing large-scale higher education capital programs
- Strong knowledge of design and construction processes and project controls
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field
- PMP, CCM, or similar certification
- Experience with bond-funded programs and public procurement
- Proficiency in project management software and reporting tools
