Program Director

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee multiple large-scale transportation engineering projects in the Southern California region, supporting CALTRANS and other regional clients
• Lead highway engineering projects with values up to and exceeding $500 million
• Oversee the preparation of project initiation, approval, and design documents, including project study reports, project reports, and plans, specifications, and estimates
• Utilize extensive knowledge of the California Department of Transportation project development and funding processes
• Manage project planning, scope development, fee preparation, and scheduling
• Participate in contract scope and fee negotiations for medium- and large-size planning projects
• Coordinate document preparation, review, quality control, and client relations

Requirements

• 4-year degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical/business field
• 20+ years of related work experience, specifically with large-scale transportation projects
• Proven experience in a management capacity with a strong technical and project management background
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to meet Parsons’ project management certification requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) registration
• Solid experience working within California transportation sectors
