About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support to the Assistant Director to ensure program compliance with grant requirements.
  • Coordinate daily activities within the Jacoby Center and monitor program activities with the Stockton Unified School District.
  • Oversee, direct, and support student and temporary casual employees, including hiring, training, and coaching.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as creating schedules, reviewing work, assisting with payroll, and monitoring the program budget.
  • Maintain accurate department records, including class enrollments and student records, both electronically and manually.
  • Act as a liaison between the University of the Pacific and the Stockton Unified School District.
  • Prepare correspondence, special reports, technical papers, and presentations.
  • Monitor office equipment, facilities, and supplies to ensure operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or 60 post-secondary units of completed coursework.
  • 3 years of experience in educational tutoring or after-school programs.
  • Proficiency in office software (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility to drive for University business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and mail merge functions.
  • Experience with basic budget and bookkeeping procedures.
  • Experience in web content management.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience working with diverse populations.
  • Ability to integrate culturally responsive practices into daily work.
