About the role
Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee educational and research activities within the Office of Pediatric Surgical Evaluation and Innovation (OPSEI)
- Manage strategic projects, maintaining objectives, timelines, and preparing formal outcome reports
- Lead fundraising efforts by preparing grant applications and engaging with corporate sponsors and charitable donors
- Coordinate event planning for CME activities, research journal clubs, and academic rounds
- Support residents, fellows, and students with research projects, grant applications, and academic publications
- Manage study protocols and facilitate submissions to the ethical research review process
- Oversee financial administration, including budget planning, journal vouchers, and payroll coordination
- Facilitate operational networks among co-investigators, physicians, and healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
- Minimum of two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace
Preferred Qualifications
- University degree in business
- Experience in a university or healthcare administration environment
- Background in research, human resources, or educational programming
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and resolve conflicts professionally
- Experience with graphic design, photography, or video editing software
