About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations for the GEM Centre, including project plans, timelines, and standard operating procedures across research and education portfolios.
  • Manage financial administration, including processing invoices, expense reimbursements, and monitoring budgets across multiple grants and funding sources.
  • Provide administrative support for research and educational initiatives, including trainee onboarding and fellowship program coordination.
  • Support grant application submissions, funding proposals, and the preparation of impact reports and briefing notes.
  • Manage internal and external communications, including website updates, social media content, and event promotion.
  • Maintain organizational records, project documentation, and meeting minutes for committees and working groups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Public Health, Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in program coordination, project management, or healthcare administration.
  • Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing timelines and stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing professional reports and stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as Public Health or Health Administration.
  • Formal certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or financial administration.
  • Experience working within an academic health sciences centre or supporting global health initiatives.
  • Proficiency with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and professional social media management.
