Program Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and coordinate community-based programs in alignment with organizational mission and values
• Manage the full volunteer lifecycle, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and recognition for the Food Bank, Thrift Store, and seasonal initiatives
• Conduct client intake assessments using the Link2Feed system and provide referrals to appropriate community resources
• Assist with strategic planning and community needs assessments to drive program development
• Coordinate seasonal initiatives, including the Christmas Hamper Program and the Kettle Campaign
• Manage administrative duties such as data entry, statistical reporting, and maintaining confidential participant files
• Support Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) planning and implementation as required

Requirements

• Completion of a two-year post-secondary academic program
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience, including working with clients and volunteers
• Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver's License, personal vehicle, and insurance
• Ability to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record check (including vulnerable sector) and Child Abuse Registry check
• Current First Aid/CPR, Food Handlers, and Non-Violent Crisis training (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with social media management and digital advertising
• Proficiency in using client management systems or Salesforce
• Experience in grant application assistance and reporting
• Strong background in event planning and community networking
