About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the administration of the Institute’s graduate programs, including coordinating with University student services and managing program budgets.
- Oversee the graduate application process, from monitoring application platforms to notifying students of their status.
- Provide direct student support, including organizing orientations, graduation celebrations, career panels, and advising on graduation requirements.
- Administer student fellowship programs, including budget creation, disbursement of payments, and drafting reports for funders.
- Liaise with East Asia-related student groups to supervise event planning, program development, and budget management.
- Maintain comprehensive constituent databases for fellowship recipients, MA students, and alumni.
- Supervise and assign work to student assistants.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent related experience.
- 2-4 years of related experience in student affairs or academic administration.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in East Asian Studies, International Affairs, or Higher Education.
- Experience living and working in an Asian country.
- Proficiency in an Asian language.
- Previous experience in a student-facing role.
