About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the Mental Health Service Professional Demonstration Grant Program
  • Conduct regional and district needs assessments to determine specialist deployment
  • Ensure program work aligns with grant deliverables and district priorities
  • Oversee the recruitment of prospective School Psychology candidates
  • Train and provide professional development to district personnel using evidence-based strategies
  • Implement training, support, and coaching for participating LEAs and supervisors
  • Collaborate with LIU faculty and LEAs to address mental health needs for students and families

Requirements

  • Master's degree in School Psychology
  • Expertise in evidence-based mental health services
  • Spanish speaking proficiency
  • Experience providing training, coaching, professional development, or technical assistance
  • Extensive knowledge of research-based interventions and learning strategies
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate in School Psychology
