About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate non-cognitive strengths programming and deliver academic advising services to undecided students at the Biddle Institute.
  • Design and manage evidence-based programs that promote academic success, student engagement, and development of skills like resilience and self-regulation.
  • Assist students with major and career exploration, course selection, and the development of educational plans.
  • Instruct the LPD101 course and lead workshops on learning success, mindset development, and career readiness.
  • Collect and analyze student performance data to inform advising strategies and implement intervention efforts for at-risk students.
  • Serve as a lead coordinator for the Bridge to Biddle summer program agenda and activities.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and student support units to ensure coordinated referral processes.
  • Maintain detailed records for advising, engagement, and student progress tracking.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in counseling, education, communication, psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency with academic tools and registration technologies.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including walking across campus and lifting up to 40 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in counseling, advising, or teaching within a higher education setting.
