About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership, academic oversight, and operational management for the Addictions, Mental Health & Social Work Assistant (AMS) Program.
- Supervise the AMS program, including faculty and adjunct staffing, workloads, and professional development.
- Manage programmatic operations such as budgeting, course scheduling, equipment inventory, and student advising.
- Ensure curriculum and program delivery meet all relevant registration, certification, and licensure standards.
- Drive innovation in learning by developing new courses, certificates, and programs that meet industry and community needs.
- Prioritize student success through proactive recruitment, retention, and graduation initiatives.
- Foster community and workforce partnerships, including the development of career pathways and articulation agreements with four-year institutions.
- Teach courses according to the expected teaching load for academic coordinators.
Requirements
- Master's degree or above in social work, counseling, or clinical psychology.
- Proven ability to manage people and resources effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Commitment to the two-year college mission and high-quality instruction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional license in social work, counseling, or clinical psychology.
- Specific licensure such as Licensed Psychologist, LPCC (with supervision designation), LISW (with supervision designation), or LICDC (with supervision designation).
- Previous experience in academic program coordination.
- Familiarity with administrative and instructional software packages.
