About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional engineering teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, and Software) through the development, integration, and testing of Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) Communication Systems.
  • Direct all program phases from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and technical performance goals.
  • Establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, and integration.
  • Manage technical performance for multiple small programs or large-scale complex programs.
  • Oversee the transfer of customer requirements into development and test protocols for prototypes and deliveries.
  • Track and report on budget and schedule performance using Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) techniques.
  • Interface with management, suppliers, and customers to provide timely technical communication and project updates.

Requirements

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required on day one.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with at least 7 years of experience.
  • Proven experience leading large engineering programs or major technical efforts.
  • Extensive expertise in Systems and Hardware Engineering throughout the full lifecycle, including architecture, design, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Strong ability to communicate and present technical information to senior-level leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Progressive leadership experience in the design, development, and integration of electromechanical assemblies with embedded software.
  • Experience using Agile methodologies for both hardware and software development.
  • Prior experience as a Cost Account Manager.
  • Proficiency in project management tools including MS Project and EVMS.
  • Experience navigating highly matrixed organizations and managing competing priorities.
