Program Buyer

Responsibilities

• Lead all purchasing activities related to assigned automotive programs, ensuring Quality, Cost, and Timing (Q/C/T) performance.
• Drive sourcing strategies in collaboration with the Lead Buyer and manage the project purchasing budget.
• Manage and close purchase orders while ensuring adherence to established payment schedules.
• Guarantee a flawless supplier launch to ensure no-impact events at Start of Production (SOP).
• Monitor gap-to-target performance, on-time PPAP, and Tier-2 supplier readiness.
• Track project hours and contribute to cash-in/cash-out performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain.
• 5+ years of experience in Engineering, ideally within the automotive or plastics industry.
• Strong knowledge of project management within an industrial environment.
• Proficiency in technical and commercial negotiations.
• Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
• Solid understanding of purchasing strategies, supplier management, and commercial law.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous direct experience in a Purchasing role.
• Knowledge of finance and cash management, including costing and budgeting.
• Understanding of logistics concepts such as Consignment, VMI, and Incoterms.
