About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the acquisition of raw materials and chemical inputs, ensuring quality, competitive costs, and deadline compliance
- Perform market analysis and supplier evaluation, negotiating contracts and managing strategic relationships
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and logistics teams to align purchases with technical and operational needs
- Manage technical changes (ECN) and specification updates to minimize supply chain risks
- Optimize SAP processes for real-time reporting and error reduction
- Analyze data to identify savings opportunities and propose innovative sourcing strategies
Requirements
- 4 to 5 years of experience in strategic purchasing (preferably in chemical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing industries)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, data analysis)
- Advanced proficiency in SAP (MM, Purchasing, or Logistics modules)
- Advanced English level (C1 or equivalent) for technical communication and negotiations
- Analytical skills and ability to manage complex projects
