About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for general enquiries, providing detailed information to students regarding program and course requirements
- Liaise with students and faculty to coordinate various program activities
- Track and report on the practicum pipeline and student placements
- Assist with the communication and dissemination of evaluation materials to preceptors and students
- Manage logistical details for meetings, events, and programming, including room bookings and accommodations
- Coordinate internal IHPME rooms and LSM bookings for all programs
- Schedule meetings for the Program Director, faculty, and students, as well as chairs for doctoral exams
Requirements
- Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or an equivalent combination of experience
- Minimum of two years of experience in an administrative position, preferably within an educational environment
- Proven experience providing front-line customer service
- Experience working with and supporting committees
- Experience with database management and generating reports
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other computer software
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to exercise tact, diplomacy, and good judgement when interacting with staff, faculty, and students
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Access
- Prior knowledge of University of Toronto and School of Graduate Studies (SGS) policies and procedures
