About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide front desk reception and customer service for the Centre for Accessibility, responding to inquiries with tact and sensitivity.
- Coordinate student service processes, including appointment scheduling, exam registration, and managing the Accommodation Letter project.
- Manage highly confidential client records and perform data entry and statistical reporting.
- Administer financial tasks such as processing Canada Study Grant requests and managing bi-weekly payroll for student assistants.
- Supervise and train student staff and senior student assistants.
- Support the accommodated exams program by assisting with scheduling, proctoring, and coordination.
- Maintain office supplies, digital signage, and departmental communication materials.
Requirements
- High School graduation plus at least one year of post-secondary education.
- Four years of related administrative or program support experience.
- Proven experience in a customer service environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and maintain composure in a high-paced, high-stress environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a university environment or supporting people with disabilities.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs.
- Proficiency in managing complex appointment calendars and coordinating multiple tasks.
- Experience in financial administration or processing grant applications.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions using analytical methods.
