Program Assistant - TRIO

Responsibilities

• Administer and assist with all aspects of the Upward Bound program, including planning, implementing, and evaluating specific activities and services.
• Deliver direct services to program participants, including student recruitment and coordinating tutoring initiatives.
• Plan and execute exposure activities, college visits, cultural tours, and career tours.
• Manage the execution of the six-week summer program.
• Engage with parents, families, high school administration, teachers, and staff to coordinate student services.
• Prepare program status reports and assist with the submission of internal and external reports, such as the Department of Education Annual Performance Report (APR).
• Generate demographic and contact reports from the project database on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in higher education or K-12 education settings.
• Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
• Ability to work with students from diverse academic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.
• Ability to analyze data and maintain spreadsheets and databases.
