About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead research activities to prevent and treat obesity and metabolic diseases within the Healthy Food profile.
- Secure external research funding from national and international sources.
- Publish high-impact research articles as a Principal Investigator in Q1/Q2 journals.
- Serve as an advisor for the institution's graduate programs.
- Dedicate 25% of time to teaching within an academic school at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
- Participate in national and international research networks and events.
Requirements
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field (Biotechnology, Food Science, Nutrition, etc.).
- Clinical or nutritional research experience.
- Substantial publication history in Q1/Q2 journals within the last five years.
- Scopus H-Index of at least 15.
- Advanced English proficiency (C1 level or TOEFL 600).
- SECIHTI SNI membership in Mexico or equivalent international credentials.
- Proven track record in attracting research funds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Outstanding leadership potential and commitment to an innovative research agenda.
- Ability to drive technological development and scientific entrepreneurship.
- Strong communication skills and an extensive professional stakeholder network.
- Proficiency in Spanish.
