Professor of Veterinary Small Animal Medicine

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and didactic teaching in small animal medicine courses and laboratories
• Supervise small animal medicine clinical clerkships
• Participate actively in Veterinary Skills courses throughout the DVM program
• Engage in curriculum development and the creation of innovative learning resources
• Serve on university committees such as admissions, curriculum, or research
• Develop independent or collaborative research in the field of small animal medicine (tenure track)

Requirements

• DVM or equivalent degree
• Expertise in small animal medicine
• ACVIM SA board certification or eligibility
• Proven ability to promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusiveness

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD and advanced training in small animal medicine and research
• Working knowledge of curricular design and implementation
