About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care for animals presented to the clinical veterinary neurology service
  • Cooperate with other clinical faculty in hospital practice and clinical service
  • Participate in the school's research program as a team leader or member
  • Engage in didactic and tutorial instructional programs for the School of Veterinary Medicine
  • Participate in house officer training and continuing education programs
  • Collaborate with faculty to develop teaching programs and instructional materials

Requirements

  • DVM or equivalent degree
  • Successful completion of a veterinary neurology residency approved by the ACVIM or ECVN
  • For Associate Professor: Board certification in neurology and 5 years of related research, teaching, or clinical experience
  • For Full Professor: Board certification in neurology and 8 years of related research, teaching, or clinical experience
  • Ability to lift more than 50 pounds and stand or walk for prolonged periods
  • Availability to provide after-hours consultation for emergent neurological issues
