Professor of Veterinary Anesthesiology

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and didactic teaching in anesthesiology and small animal surgery course laboratories
• Serve as the course director for the third-year DVM anesthesiology course
• Engage in curriculum development and the creation of innovative learning resources
• Participate in university committee service, including admissions, curriculum, and research committees
• For tenure-track faculty: develop independent or collaborative research in veterinary anesthesiology to support the College's scholarly goals
• Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusiveness within the academic community

Requirements

• DVM or equivalent degree with proven expertise in anesthesiology
• Specialty board certification or eligibility from the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (ACVAA) or an equivalent body
• Proven ability to interact effectively with university administration, faculty, staff, students, and alumni

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in anesthesiology and research
• Experience in advanced veterinary research and scholarly activities
