About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach effectively in an in-person environment that encourages student-faculty interaction
- Maintain a typical teaching load of 3 courses per semester (Fall/Spring)
- Create course syllabi and manage course content via Canvas
- Grade assignments within appropriate time frames and post grades on Canvas
- Hold regular office hours and remain responsive to student needs
- Guide the Computer Science major through academic advising
- Participate in shared governance structures within the department
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Ability to teach in-person
- Experience with syllabus creation and student advising
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience teaching Computer Science courses at the college level
