Professor of Practice

Responsibilities

• Teach a 3/3 course load, including Introductory Biology and Anatomy & Physiology (both lecture and laboratory components)
• Guide the future of the Biology major and related programs such as Biochemistry, Environmental Science, and Medical Sciences
• Provide academic advising to students within the department
• Participate in shared governance structures within the college
• Contribute to an innovative and inclusive learning environment through student mentoring and hands-on research support

Requirements

• M.S. with strong teaching experience, or a Ph.D. at the time of appointment
• Ability to teach both lecture and laboratory classes
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to teach foundational offerings in Introductory Biology and Anatomy & Physiology
• Potential to develop additional course offerings based on specific area of expertise and interest
