Professor of Practice - Television, Radio & Film

Responsibilities

• Teach entertainment business and innovation/entrepreneurship courses for the department’s Executive and Innovations and Entrepreneurship tracks
• Design curricula that reflect emerging trends in entertainment media business
• Deliver approximately six courses per academic year, including introductory surveys, advanced media business, and capstone courses
• Create classroom-to-industry connections to provide professional opportunities and experiences for students
• Foster cross-departmental and interdisciplinary collaboration across main, NYC, LA, and international programs
• Build and maintain relationships with leading entertainment companies to enhance the School’s reputation
• Provide academic and career advising to undergraduate and graduate students
• Participate in university service, including committee work and community engagement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Distinguished professional accomplishment in entertainment business practice
• Prior university-level teaching experience or a record of mentorship in professional settings
• Expertise in new media business models and media innovation strategies
• Expertise in the creator economy and media entrepreneurship
