About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in studio recording, music mastering, studio acoustics, and recording studio management
- Mentor students and coordinate the use of the Belfer studio
- Participate in student recruitment and university service, including committee work
- Maintain active expertise in audio production technology, trends, and industry practices
- Collaborate with colleagues and engage with the Setnor School of Music community
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a related STEAM field or commensurate high-level professional experience
- 5-10 years of significant professional experience in the music production industry
- Documented successful collegiate teaching experience
- Component-level expertise with audio production hardware and software
- Active engagement in professional organizations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commercial composition and/or songwriting
- Experience in equipment maintenance and repair
- Established music performance background
- Expertise in professional audio equipment and systems design
