About the role
Responsibilities
- Design scenery for two productions within the Stonehill Theatre Company season
- Serve as the Production Manager and Technical Director for the department
- Teach a 4/4 course load, including subjects such as Stagecraft, Set Design, Lighting Design, Stage Management, and Theatre History
- Mentor and supervise students in technical theatre and production areas
- Maintain the scene shop, Hemingway Theatre, and other Theatre Arts spaces
- Manage Hemingway Theatre facilities and operations
- Participate in recruitment and outreach efforts for the Theatre Arts program
Requirements
- Significant professional experience in scenic and lighting design
- Proven expertise in technical direction
- Demonstrated ability to manage production processes
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to mentor students in technical theatre environments
Preferred Qualifications
- MFA in Theatre or equivalent professional experience
