Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver rigorous, challenging learning experiences aligned with international academic excellence standards.
  • Strengthen and update the Mechanics and Materials program to enhance academic differentiation.
  • Generate institutional impact through high-quality research, academic production, and industry engagement.
  • Collaborate strategically with the academic body to consolidate the School of Engineering and Sciences' global positioning.
  • Direct research projects, theses, and academic research groups.

Requirements

  • PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing, or a related field from a Top 100 globally ranked university.
  • Active research track record with recent publications in JCR/Scopus indexed journals.
  • Consistent bibliometric indicators (h-index and citations) appropriate for the academic level.
  • Proven teaching experience in areas such as Heat Transfer, Materials Science, Manufacturing Processes, or Mechanical Design.
  • English proficiency at a C1 level.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and numerical simulation/CAD (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, SolidWorks, COMSOL).
  • Experience in materials characterization (SEM, EDS, XRD, etc.) and microstructural analysis.
  • Knowledge of advanced manufacturing, including CNC, Additive Manufacturing, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
  • Experience with patents, intellectual property, or technology transfer to industry.
  • History of participation in funded research projects and international academic or industrial experience.
