Professor of Industrial Engineering

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead internationally recognized research programs in AI within industrial engineering contexts.
• Publish research in high-impact journals and secure national and international funding.
• Design and teach innovative courses integrating machine learning, optimization, and predictive analytics into industrial engineering and logistics curricula.
• Supervise Master's and Doctoral students in a collaborative research environment.
• Create AI-based teaching materials, digital simulations, and case studies.
• Establish strategic alliances with technology companies and government agencies to apply research to practical solutions.

Requirements

• PhD in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a closely related field.
• Proven research publication record in high-impact journals focusing on AI, machine learning, or industrial engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in securing external research funding.
• Professional proficiency in English (minimum B2/TOEFL 550).
• Commitment to reaching an intermediate level of Spanish (B1) within two years.
• Experience leading interdisciplinary teams and collaborating with industrial partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within the industrial sector.
• Experience in curriculum development or managing AI-focused laboratories.
