Professor of Architectural Design Technology

Responsibilities

• Provide professional-level teaching in architectural design technology.
• Actively engage with the student and faculty community through workshops, laboratories, and exhibitions.
• Implement prospective design methodologies and emerging technologies.
• Structure traceable design processes ranging from initial concept to physical prototype.
• Lead initiatives involving generative geometries, parametric simulation, and digital fabrication.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• Master's degree in Parametric Design, Advanced Architectural Design, Digital Fabrication, Design Technology, Emerging Technologies, AI applied to design, or a related field.
• Proven experience in computational design and generative/parametric geometries.
• Expertise in digital fabrication and the critical integration of Artificial Intelligence in the creative process.
• Full professional fluency in English.
• Ability to maintain an active presence on campus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with emerging technologies such as bio-materials, XR (Extended Reality), data, and interaction design.
• A "maker" mindset with a strong aesthetic sense and ability to treat design as a system of rules and performance.
